Sample Title

Need to have some content here. If you put content (words, inages, photos etc) on a floppy or CD Rom I can add this to the relevant pages and put this onto the website. This page should give an approximation as to what a page might look like, but clearly this is easily customised according to the format and function that you require and taking account of the content. It is recommended that we have several short pages rather than very long pages and small but interesting photos rather than large and complex ones since this make the site more pleasing to the eye, and quicker to load and use. The key to a successful site it simplicity and content. The succes of this site will depend on people provinding good quality content that people will want to read, and having it in a manner that it can be accessed very easily - no complicated menus, pop ups, or long waits for download etc.

How to add text to this page...

It is clear that you want a quality website with considerable content to cater for yachtsmen interested in the Association, its races and its history. I understand you are looking to attract corporate sponsorship (possibly from Tourism) so the product needs to be commercially focused and not amateurish in form or function. I note that in terms of function you require a website address, hosting and email services, possibly www.goreyregatta.org with emails to webmaster@goreyregatta.org or membership@goreyregatta.org etc.

I have done similar websites before, see www.jerseyrace.co.uk and www.tep.gov.je and www.hougue.com The first is for a race in Jersey and the second a government website and the third my own website. They range considerably in terms of presentation, function, ease of maintenance and cost.

The key challenge for will be doing your website within the modest means of the Gorey Regatta Association. The most time consuming (and therefore costly) part will be creating the content. If you or other members of the Association can send content, photos etc., on a floppy or CD or by email (to tim@hougue.com) then this maximise the time I can put to design and functionality. : If you want you can simply post a floppy or CD Rom or email the content to me and I can paste it onto the site for you.
